Comedy Parlor’s training center focuses on honing your comedic sensibilities. With classes offered in improvisation stand up and sketch, adult and teen, you’ll learn how to bring out the funny in you while, strangely, having fun at the same time. Crazy as that seems.

Level 1: Stand Up
This class is perfect for anyone that would like to try stand up for the first time or a stand up that wants to hone their performance. Go up on 2 Sunday night shows.

Who: Open enrollment, contact jasonw@comedyparlor.com if under 18
When: Sundays 5:30 – 7pm

Level 2: Stand Up
Dan Fritschie takes the student’s material and hones it into a polished set that would impress at any comedy club open mic.  This class also discusses some expectations in the comedy industry.

Who: Level 1 Stand up graduates or instructor approval
When: Sundays 3 – 5pm

Level 1: Improv for Fun
Improv is a great way to have some fun without the pressure of performance(optional).  Come out and see why so many people use the skills learned in improv in their daily lives.  It helps with communication, problem solving, stress, and focus.  It’s also guaranteed to provide a few needed laughs to brighten up your day.

When: Mondays, 7pm – 9pm
Class Length: 2 hours

Level 2: Improv Scenes
This class focuses on learning games that will take the player’s performance to the next level. Topics include: thinking quickly, team support, crowd work, and game creation.

Level 1: Sketch Writing
From brainstorming to editing to acting, this class takes you through the process of getting something funny in your head to seeing that funny something realized on the Parlor stage. Learn different types of sketches and methods for development.
When: Tuesdays, 7pm – 9pm
